A local family business based in Highweek, Newton Abbot. Managed by husband and wife team Adam and Sarah-Jane Medlicott. Being based in Newton Abbot makes it a perfect central location for covering Devon and the South Hams, Exeter, Teignbridge, Teignmouth, Dawlish, Torquay, Paignton, Brixham and even supporting the Plymouth Area. Employing exceptional highly qualified and experienced drivers in their field manage to maintain a fabulously high standard of service, whatever the event. The pride of our fleet is a 1930 Chevrolet Phaeton Sports Roadster (we call it “The Chevy”) which has been a part of our lives for nearly twenty years. She was ordered in 1929 by the then governor of Uruguay to an exceptionally high specification together with being in Right Hand Drive which makes her very special, being as only four others like her are still in existence. She was imported back to the United Kingdom in 1979 but had to wait another Ten years before undergoing a forty thousand pounds restoration. This has stood the test of time and fifty thousand miles later she still looks fantastic today. On a recent visit to the Devon region’s annual Jaguar day. She was unanimously voted best non-Jaguar at the show. She has also starred in the Agatha Christie “Poirot” films, some filmed locally in Salcombe and Torquay where she was often seen on the roads. She has also had some famous passengers in her time including HRH Princess Anne, David Suchet, Sterling Moss, and Les Dawson to name but a few. When B.A.F.T.A. organised a seventeen hundred mile rally for famous cars of the big screen and television. She played a major part raising over two thousand pounds for the “Save the Children fund” working closely alongside “The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” original Gen II and the Pinewood studios “Rolls Royce”. Although she is a convertible she has roof and side screens which can be quickly erected to protect passengers should the weather not be as hoped for on your special day. The Jaguar XJ8 Executive offers an alternative later style or would pair excellently with the Chevy as an ideal car for the Bridesmaids.
